Designed by Fort Worth architects, Sanguinet & Status and built in 1903 for Texas cattleman W.T. Waggoner, Thistle Hill was originally the home of cattle baron A.B. Wharton and ranch heiress Electra Waggoner Wharton. The prominent three-story mansion sits in what used to be known as Quality Hill, now the heart of Fort Worth’s medical district.
Previously Hull restored the pergola. In 2024 Hull worked with Norman Alston Architects to restore the 12,000 square-foot main house and rare carriage house, built for horses, cars, and carriages. The Ludowici roof, wood window restoration and exterior millwork are a few of the areas Hull focused on during the preservation of this historic piece of architecture that should now stand another 100 years.
